Abide

As I came before the Lord this morning in prayer, in my endeavors to know Him better, I simply sat there in His presence very much satisfied with being his child. As I thought about being in Christ and being one with God, I tried to just focus on our relationship together. I sensed a completeness about seating in his presence and a gratitude for the people that he placed in my life. My life has been so enriched by my wife and the energy that she has to reach Asian community.

God is very concerned with our needs and our purpose for His kingdom. He knows that in order for us to be our best for his kingdom, we need an environment that can support our life and give us strength. In a nutshell, He gave us all that we needed for life and godliness in Christ. The scripture says that in Him we live and move and have our being, yet He created a universe to express his immense love and provision.

As benevolent and as loving as God is, He created us to be in relationship with Himself. That in itself is amazing. We were created to fellowship with the creator of the universe. God is so loving, so kind, so patient etc., that He simply waits. He waits as we come into the knowledge of what we were designed for from before the foundation of ages. He also waits for us to connect with all that he can be for us. As the old song goes, “He was there all the time, He was there all the time, waiting patiently in line, He was there all the time.”

How do we connect with all that God has prepared for us? How does our soul become enriched with all that He is, and all that He wants to be in our lives? Have we thought about conversation? He longs to have conversation with us. As our Master, our creator, our heavenly Father, big brother and best of all as a friend. He waits patiently for us to knock on his door and sit with Him  and get to know Him. As busy as God is and believe me he is busy, He has the strange ability to spend eternity at our beckon call. He not only wants us to know Him and spend time with Him; but He really love being with us, imagine that!

He knows that the only way he can achieve all that he wants for us is if we abide in him. Is it possible that he can be with us all the time. Well, we know that he lives in us. We need to believe what the word says about us, who we are in-Christ. The confidence to live as he lived here on earth comes with time spent with Him. We need to keep an abiding conscious of His presence at all times.

Yes, we need to become acquainted with God all over again. We need to forget some of the past teachings, but not the word, but forget our religious thinking handed to us by our former leader. As we go from one degree of glory to the next, let’s grow deeper in the knowledge of God. Spending time in His presence will increase our revelation of who He is. Spending time in His word and meditating upon His word will reveal to us who we are and what we can do for His glory. It will be said of us, “they have done great exploits because they knew their God.” So many are waiting for your manifestation as the “the son of God.”
